It’s hard to pick favorite articles (written by me or others) especially considering how many we write. This is just some of my favorite moments at Circle Six Magazine this year. There is tons of content there. Bookmark the site and find your own favorites!
1.Conversation with Gary Cherone of Extreme. Gary is just flat out one of the smartest men in music. Worth your time.
2. Conversation with Oderus Urungus of Gwar. The funniest conversation I’ve ever had with a rock star.
3. Erick Bieger’s Review of A7X’s Nightmare. This is one of the best examples of how an album review should be written. There’s a reason this is our most read article to date.
4. Conversation with Mystery Guitar Man. A very insightful conversation about YouTube and the world of DIY entertainment on a micro budget. (He has since become an even bigger star on YouTube. But I remember him “when.”)
5. Conversation with Rob Halford. He was probably the nicest “super star” – listening to him you just get the idea the he is a gentleman through and through.
6. Conversation with Gunnar Nelson. It isn’t often that you get to speak with rock royalty. I got to spend 30 minutes with son of Ricky Nelson and the grandson of Ozzy Nelson. 3 Generations of performers to have a number 1 single. If that isn’t impressive, I don’t know what is. Oh yes I do. It was actually one of the most interesting conversations that I had with anyone. Check it out if you have a chance.
